Thaan Charcoal is looking for a Sales Manager, ideally with 3-5 years of experience in the restaurant or foodservice industry. You will work closely with company owners to create and foster a positive working environment that is high performing, and active in the culinary community. The position will be fast-paced, execution-focused, in a dynamic start-up environment. Strong in working within online systems and processes, while establishing systems, controls, SOP’s on your own. Experience working at a good food company is highly valued. The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving annual sales  revenue and profit goals. The Sales Manager is expected to perform sales and demonstrate effective leadership and management of Thaan Charcoal’s revenue goals and gross margin objectives. 


  • Perform sales of cook’s favorite cooking fuel to multiple sales channels: Chefs & Independent Restaurants, Food Processors, Multi-Unit Restaurant Operators, Foodservice Distributors, Natural Foods Stores, Specialty Retailers, Big Box Stores & International Customers

  • Perform sales, manage sales pipeline 

  • Must be a role model for the company’s culture

  • Work closely with the owners to develop, establish and direct channel and  new distribution strategy

  • Maintain key customer relationships and further develop accounts


  • 3-5 years’ experience in a sales position, growing product sales and market awareness

  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute at both the strategic and operational level 

  • Has established contacts and relationships with Chefs, Operators, and Retailers

  • Outstanding selling abilities with excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Must have a proven sales track record in new product/new market environment 

  • Must be willing to travel  


  • Proven sales experience (3-5 years)

  • Understanding of customer relationship management

  • Food industry experience experience ideal, small, nimble, and agile company experience a plus

  • Proficient in Excel, Google Docs, Whatsapp, Quickbooks and ideally more!

  • Valid driver’s license 

  • Speaking languages in addition to English is an asset


  • Salaried, varies depending on experience. $55,000 - $75,000 per year

  • Base + Commission + Bonus 

  • Potential for Profit Sharing
